Allison M. Trujillo M.A., CCC-SLP, COM®
Santa Fe Therapy Associates
“My soul purpose is to provide quality therapy to my patients as well as build a strong and healthy relationship with them and their families. I was born to be a Speech-Language Pathologist and Orofacial Myologist. To teach, to love, to guide, to encourage. It is who I am. It’s my passion and my calling.”
Receiving my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from New Mexico State University was demanding yet gratifying experience. During my 16+ years of practice working with both the pediatric and adult population has taught me that each and every patient is unique and providing a customized plan of care is essential. I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and have certifications in Orofacial Myology with the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) and VitalStim® Therapy (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation) (NMES). Having worked in a variety of settings including home, school, hospital, and private clinic-based therapy has given me the ability to look at each patient with a wholistic approach. I treat children and adults demonstrating challenges in feeding/swallowing, articulation, fluency, receptive and expressive language, auditory processing, cognitive deficits, and social language. I work with a variety of children and adult disorders including: orofacial myofunctional disorders (i.e., tongue ties, dental issues, sleep issues/airway concerns), neuromuscular dysfunctions, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, cognitive-communication disorders, Aphasia, Dysarthria, Down Syndrome, and the Autism Spectrum.
