Carrie has been a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist in the Four Corners area for over 15 years. After taking several classes in sleep disordered breathing, buteyko breathing, and tethered oral tissues she came across the field of orofacial myofunctional therapy. In which she quickly developed a strong passion for. After realizing herself and many of her own family members could benefit from this therapy she dove in and sought out the best training.
Carrie is trained by as well as a member of the IAOM (International Association of Orofacial Myologist). Carrie is also a graduate of the Myomentor Program. After her extensive training and education Carrie opened Facial Works OMT, LLC.
Carrie enjoys working with all ages to improve oral function as it relates to breathing, facial development and growth. She is passionate and enthusiastic about prevention and treatment of the causes of Orofacial myofunctional Disorders (OMD’s) rather than just treating the symptoms. She works with a multi-disciplinary approach and encourages other disciplines to join in on the total body health.
