Maureen Cooney is an ASHA and IAOM Certified therapist whose been in private practice since 2007. Maureen has extensive training in motor speech, feeding, and orofacial myofunctional disorders. Maureen enjoys working with new moms to provide breastfeeding assistance, is Buteyko trained by Patrick McKeown, and has completed advanced training in sleep and craniofacial pain management. Maureen, her husband, and son have all personally been through myofunctional therapy, which has helped improved her ability to connect with her patients and provide the most integrated services. Maureen believes in airway centric therapy and collaborates with many leading medical and dental specialists in the Chicagoland area to provide the best outcomes to her patients. Maureen mandates that her staff of four ASHA certified speech pathologists are trained in OM, and all patients at GCSP clinic are screened for myofunctional disorders as well to ensure we provide the most effective treatment to all of our patients.
