Pat obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and was a practicing dental hygienist for 35 years. She also holds a Public Health License in Dental Hygiene. Pat completed her Masters in Human Resource and Family Science at UNL and obtained her Gerontology certification at Colorado State. She then obtained her Orofacial Myofunctional educational training at the Academy of Orofacial Myology in Los Angeles, California and completed her Internship at Billings Speech Pathology Services in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Pat has also received advance training at Midwest Orofacial Myology in Chicago, IL and Coulson and Associates in Denver CO. She is certified in parafunctional behavior modification and in oral facial myofascial release.

Pat is a Board Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®) through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). She is an examiner for the IAOM, is a Past President of the Nebraska Dental Hygienists’ Association where she is also currently a delegate chair, and as a member of the UNMC Dean’s Council. She served as the first dental representative on the Executive Board of the Nebraska Rural Health Association and is a member of the American and Nebraska Dental Hygienists’ Associations. She is an AGD approved provider of continuing education for Orofacial Myology and lectures at dental and medical schools and professional meetings. Her years of experience with digit sucking, habit elimination, and TMJD and other areas of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders have been hugely successful. Pat has an innovative approach allowing the patient to achieve overall confidence by providing an individualized, positive treatment plan. Pat has practiced Orofacial Myology since 2008 in Central and Eastern Nebraska. She and her husband have 7 children and 4 grandchildren.
