Rebecca (who goes by Becky) has been a speech-language pathologist at Exceptional Children’s Center in Springfield, VA since 2013. She is currently the Clinical Supervisor for the speech therapy department, where she enjoys treating her caseload as well as providing mentorship and supervision to the speech therapy team.
She has received training in the following areas: TalkTools Three-Part Treatment Plan for Oral Placement Therapy; TalkTools Feeding Therapy: A Sensory-Motor Approach; Anxiety Disorders in Children and Adolescents; Natural Language Acquisition in Autism: Echolalia to Self-Generated Language; PROMPT: Level I and II; TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Training; Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP); Moving Forward with LAMP; Oromyofunctional Therapy: Change in Structure; TalkTools Airway, Orthodontics, Apnea, and OPT; Best Practices in Pediatric Feeding, Motor Speech, and Mouth Development; and the introductory “Make the Connection” IAOM course.
Becky is an active member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds licenses for speech-language pathology from the Virginia Department of Health Professions. She loves learning about the structure and function of the face and neck muscles, and intends to pursue certification in orofacial myology.
