Amanda Cotton Speech Language Pathologist


Amanda completed her Master of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Alberta in 2011. Working in acute care until 2017 fostered experience with feeding and swallowing assessment and treatment in both infants (NICU) and adult populations. Since 2017, Amanda has been working in private practice with clients of all ages and a variety of speech and language needs. Amanda is licensed to work in both Ontario and Nova Scotia.

Amanda has a special interest in orofacial myology and feeding and swallowing across the lifespan. In addition, Amanda has completed special training in oral placement therapy (Talktools), orofacial myology (Oral Rest Posture Program and International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) active member), tethered oral tissues (TOTS), SOS Approach to Feeding, breastfeeding, PROMPT for motor speech goals, amongst others.
