Dr. Purvi V. Shah is a uniquely qualified pediatric dentist with experience in child nutrition, pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Her practice philosophy is shaped by her experience as a nutritionist working with children and experience providing pediatric and orthodontic dental care. Her experience shapes her belief that good nutrition, craniofacial development and oral hygiene play a vital role in a child’s healthy growth and development, overall well-being, and quality of life.

Dr. Shah has a MS in Nutrition, is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD), is an American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Fellow* (FAAPD), is a Diplomate of the American Orthodontic Society, and also a Fellow in Orofacial Myology (FOM). Dr. Shah is certified in Laser Dentistry and trained on water fluoridation principle and practice at the Center for Disease Control (CDC.) Dr. Shah also serves as an adjunct faculty at the Children’s Hospital, Colorado.

Dr. Shah’s outstanding care for children and her commitment to continuous learning and improving care, has continually earned her recognition from her peers and the community at large. Dr. Shah has served as chief resident pediatric dentistry at the Children’s Hospital, Colorado and she has annually and consistently, since 2009, been recognized as a Top Pediatric Dentist in Castle Rock, CO (as published in 5280 magazine based on peer feedback). In addition to awards received, Dr. Shah’s research studies have been published and cited in the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry, a publication internationally recognized as the leading journal of pediatric dentistry. Of all her accolades, most valued by her is the trust her patients place in her. The wonderful drawings and notes sent in by her beloved young friends and their parents is something that gives her tremendous joy and pride.

Dr. Shah is committed to providing the best care possible to children. As part of her commitment to caring for children’s development, Dr. Shah has provided voluntary pediatric dental services to under served children in Colorado, the Appalachian communities in North Carolina, Romania, and Uganda.

* “AAPD Fellow” is the name of a membership status in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), distinguishing those persons who have contributed above and beyond to the field of pediatric dentistry. Fellows contribute as faculty, volunteers, holding leadership positions as well as actively participating in organized dentistry.
