I have been a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since June 1984. ASHA recognized me with the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) in March 2018 and November 2019. I am a Licensed SLP by the Commonwealth of Virginia and Massachusetts. I completed the certification process for the International Association of Orofacial Myology in August 2018 and was recognized as a Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®) at the annual convention on October 5, 2018. I currently work full-time as a Speech-Language Pathologist for Loudoun County Public Schools in Leesburg, VA. In addition, I am in the process of building a private practice in Orofacial Myology and Speech-Language Pathology. I love working as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Orofacial Myologist. I receive great satisfaction from helping individuals of all ages develop appropriate function of their oral and facial structures. I am passionate about helping others improve their articulation and/or language abilities so they can be effective communicators with family, friends, and school or work associates. My husband of 36 years and I have eight children, and four, soon to be, five grandchildren.
